According to the Jay Leno Big Dog Garage website, Team Juchli and Leno is an automotive match made in heaven. Randy, who speaks fluent Swiss-German and French, hit it off with Bernard, and Bernard gave Swisstrax a chance to meet with Leno and demonstrate the easy installation of interlocking modular garage floor car pads in the Big Dog Garage.

As a custodial manager, I periodically come upon custodians using incorrect color-coded floor pads for a floor care project, because they will often express that all floor pads are the same and it really does not matter. In order to make a floor care job task easier for the average person to understand, this short article will help me explain the purposeful use of each color pad.

Floor pad manufacturers do not produce floor pads in different colors schemes simply as means to attract more sales with the pretty colors. Floor pad colors were introduced into the industry with a purposeful intent. Each color is meant to define a floor care pad for a specific floor care task. The color allows a floor pad manufacturer to differentiate the coarseness of the pad, the job task intent of the pad, as well as providing a means to the customer to be able to discriminate between which color pad should be used for the job task they have to complete. Although some manufacturers occasionally will attempt to introduce new colors into the marketplace, there is a standard color breakdown set in place that is universally accepted in the janitorial industry upon which most customers can rely. The standard colors of floor care pads are as follows: pink, white, beige, red, blue (green), and black.

The pink floor care pad is defined as a pad of light coarseness, which is underlined by the color which speaks of softness. You may think that you would only need garage floor coverings if you do any mechanical work on your car in the garage. Coverings for the floor of the garage are beneficial in many ways. The type of covering you purchase really depends on how much of the floor you want to cover. There are coverings that you roll out to cover the entire floor. These are available in various widths and the wider ones have overlapping flaps that make it easier to join the seams so that the floor will appear as if it was laid in one piece. The wider widths of flooring do not have the flaps, but when the edges are butted together, you will still get the seamless effect. The flooring helps keep the mud from outside from getting tracked all over the concrete floor, which is much harder to clean. With this flooring, all you have to do is wash it off with an ordinary cleaner and water.

You can get tiles for the garage floor as well. These are not the same as the flooring tiles you use in the house because you don't need any additives to make them stick to the concrete. They are in squares that you match end to end and if you want to make sure that there are no open seams, you can seal them with construction adhesive.
